MALOSSI 210 CYLINDER (1988 onwards) This cylinder has modified porting to that of earlier cylinders, giving them more top end power. It is possible to modify earlier cylinders to the same specification. The 1988 on specification cylinders have greater cylinder to piston clearance and better ring specification, recognised either by a 6 or 7 stamped in the crown. The 6 type piston has an overstamped grade code, i.e. A restamped C, B restamped D, etc. Do not use the early type pistons (stamped 5) unless using the later top ring only (ask for advice). There should not be any of these early pistons available after all this time. It is also sometimes desirable on this specification of engine to increase piston to cylinder clearance further, i.e. A or B grade piston in a C grade cylinder.
