    Hello, My CNC D.R.T clutch basket doesn't fit correctly so I have to make it machined so that it can go further on the christmas tree... right now I haven't enough thread to fix it.... I have B=4mm with the CNC model and 6mm with a DRT original modified. What is the usual angle inside the clutch basket?

    I'll try this. I forgot to talk about the RAMAIR airfilter... , I have removed it and I don't have anymore greasy deposit on the muffler. I made a more accurate test to define which stage doesn't work, everything works well until the 1/2 throttle (with and without the airfilter), after that it works really bad... I will also check the tapper of the original Koso needle, who knows...

    Hmm ok but if I increase the taper, with a "K" needle instead of a "J", it will be richer isn't it ? The needle will be more sharper.

    Hello guys, I don't know if this is the good thread to talk about the setup.. I need your advice. On a daily Polini Evo not openened, just with transfert ports ajusted and exhaust adjusted to PM40, I have a koso 28 on a polini reedvavle with 28mm intake, mazzu anticiped etc... and lightenned flywheel. Here are the setup: Main Jet 122, needle Keihin JJJ, 2nd position from top, Idle jet 42. Idle / half throttle work very well, it seems to miss a little bit power at full throttle, and the muffler is very oily/greasy at the end of a ride. I should reduce the main jet, but it is allready to low isn't it ? What do you think ?

    Two petal conversion for the reeds with the green polini sheet. I kept the metalic U parts that maintain the reeds. (?) For the test I didn't modify the clip which was always at the 3rd position (middle) on the CGL.... damned I should have tried this, I don't have access to the bench now until the race. So first try was 153 / CGL 3rd and I get 18,5..... then I put 148 that's gave 20 then 145 20,7 then 140 and 135 to finish at 21,5hp...

    Yes, that's the same, that's weird, like if it didn't fill in correcly ( it doesn't need more that 135/138).. Here is a photoshop with your SCK curve with almost the same setup (EDIT: except that I'm with a 53 stroke......) In french we said "il marche comme une patate"....

    Yes I'm gonna increase a little bit the ignition timing, right now I have 15° at 8700rpm (at the best hp) For the carb setup the nicest curve is with the 135 jet, the blue one, I have two curve with the 135, blue and orange, but the orange one is not realistic because that's the second shot on the 135 test, so the temperature is not good. So I have 10 points less than the "standards", amybe the flowing inside the casing / intake has an impact, everything is really smooth.

    Noooooo. that just 1hp more than my old iron polini which was a 51 stroke and Koso 28. I need 2hp more to be satisfied for the work done... The soft engine is more strict and give 1,5 hp less than the P4. I will try dicreasing the main jet a little bit more, the spark is still more black than brown. I didn't touch the needle yet but it won't modify the max hp, isn't it?

    So here are the curves first is made at noon with a hot weather and the last one at the end of the day... Both with 24/14° Timings are 126/191

    That's strange, I got the best results with 24/14°... I don't understand the 10° of variation, I will try with another CDI.

    Hello, I'm working on the setup of my Polini evo on a Soft Engine bench right now and I need an advice for the ignition. With the stroboscopic light I have 10 degres of variation from idle to hight RMP...; I tought it was 8° of variation on a Vespatronic .. actually I have 21,5hp with a variation from 23° at idle to 13°...(I know it's not very good for the 13°).... So for the preconised 24 / 16°, the 24° should be at 2000 / 3000 rpm, isn't it ? Setup: KeihinPWK 33 / Alex intake / Polini reedvalve / 145 48 CGL 3rd 1turn Frantz Vespatronic Crankshaft DRT 53/105
