Hey all Sorry cooper & others ? I didn?t reply to this earlier ? I forgot to click the ?notify of replies? option. Yep it?s still on and would be nice to see some of our german neighbours over. Although it won?t be as big as Paris it will be safer to leave your car! Indeed not ideal that it was organized the same weekend as Paris ? the Lambretta Club of Netherlands weren?t aware of the custom show and when I asked them to change it it was too late ? to be honest most of them weren?t even aware of a paris custom show. I am now recently a member of the Lambretta Club Netherland?s board so will make sure that it doesn?t happen next year. I did notify Olivier of this and apologized for this ? it clearly wasn?t intentional. Currently of the 40 spaces there are still 8 left so feel free to put a scooter in for the show ? knowing the quality of most german bikes I would be surprised if you wouldn?t pick up a prize. Let me know if you have questions otherwise feel free to send Cor an email with your details: corvanseters@wanadoo.nl if you want to put your bike in. Also there are quite a few stands left in case you have some scooter stuff to sell. Many thanks John PS - this is holland's first attempt at a custom show so please bear this in mind!

Ha ha! Good picture of me. Its was when I was still nice and thin. Shame that there is uncertainty about the date - would hate to miss it!!
-
hello all. Apologies for writing in english - my german is just too bad. I'm looking forward to the ring in 2006 (taking my ts1 or Polini 177 this time) but I take it that the date is still not known? Would love to know asap as I dont want to clash with the Ijsselkrieg race we are having in holland. many thanks John from Amsterdam
-
as the title says - we have the first dutch scooter custom show in holland on Nov 13th. Its all quite low key as its the first time in holland so no all nighter unless you want to come to amsterdam first. All info can be found here. amsterdam vespa & lambretta club site & forum hope to see some germans then in Amersfoort! greetz John from Amsterdam.
-
glad you like it as much as i did! Feel free to send as many around as you like!
-
Ha ha! My wife is Finnish too so I think you are right! Anyway the girl on the camera lives in Amsterdam so its not so far.
-
hey - you're funny I've just popped the main edited DVD (with 4 different cuts) & the additional unedited "on scoot cam" to Armin so he should get them both on Monday. Dont worry you are in the edited film - quite funny and I think the nice finnish girl likes you. Please let us know what you think of the edit!
-
hey Good news - got the DVD in - looks really good. I have one copy for the German riders so between you can you discuss who has the best capability to burn copies for the others. I'm sure you will like the DVD - its all very professional! So if you figure that out please give me an address & I'll pop it in the post John
-
hey the people that did the filming and that put the camera on my scoot did it for free as a favour for me (one of their clients). Problem is that they have been REALLY really busy at work so they havent had time to do the edit (they have a total of 8 hours of footage!). this means that I still have wait maybe a week or a bit longer. I'm sure it will be great when its done! I will let you know when I have it! thx John
-
I will also let everyone know when I have the DVD edit & all the pictures taken from the track - it may be a few weeks as they have about 9 hours of footage to edit. Will keep you all informed. Thanks to all the germans for making it look so easy and making us look so slow. John on the PX80 with polini 177
-
come on - there are hardly any germans registered yet - you cant let us dutchies win - can you?
-
hey Erik I'm gonna take entry form to the brewery on Sunday & for the Kelso trip (6 of the belgians are coming to that) - should definately push some to register - lots of people are into it (and building scoots specially for it) so please dont cancel - they are just not used to having the register for anything - please be patient. Has my registration come in OK? Thx John - AVC

Hey Big thank you to all involved - all of us from Holland had a great time. Look forward to seeing more photos when they are posted. Will definately come again next time! Hope to see some of you at the lelystad race in holland on August 7th! I would have posted the video as shot in Andy reid's scooter (see scoot 78 on the left in this picture) scooter camera but unfortunately the focus went just after the start because of all the vibration - we will see what if any of it we can post here. thx John
-
great - thanks for the advice. I've sent vittorio an email...
-
hey sorry that I can't write this in German. I can understand some german it so feel free to respond in German if you dont like righting in English. I've just got my Lambretta Vega 75cc through the RDW (the dutch equivelent of TUV i think) for the import - since it will never have to do this again and we are allowed to tune motorscooters in holland I am hoping that someone here may have a 4 speed starstream engine for sale to make the vega faster. I know they are very difficult to find but hopefully someone has one. I dont mind if its tuned or not. Many thanks John - from Amsterdam.

click here on our site if you want to read the article. Full scootering article hope to lots of you there. Should be a good race! John

I sold the bike last night for 1680 Euros.... not bad i think.....
-
As I've not had much interest in the bike and I can't be bothered to ship it on ebay.com -I have now dropped the asking price to only 1600 Euro. For those of you that were in Marl this weekend you will have seen it there..... Let me know if you are interested. John tel: +31 6 21857014 emai:john.tuyll@adidasbv.nl
-
sorry - i didnt understand the last 2 posts. Also I think the Germans still pay pretty fair prices for non german bikes. Oliver from Scooter Center Koln paid 2000 for my 1950 vespa rod model which wasn't german...
-
yeah - i know its normally beter to sell to people not so in the scene. Do you think it will be worth putting it on ebay.de? thx John
-
yeah - I know its expensive. I gave a high price as people liek to negotiate and I wanted to see if this was realistic - I dont see many GS 150s for sale so wasnt sure. I would let it go for 1800 euros...........
-
Apologies for writting in German. I am selling my GS 150 scooter. Its is good running condition but paint is scratched in several places. Please see foto. My asking price is 2100 EUR but am happy to negotiate. Please mail me at john.tuyll@adidasbv.nl if you have any questions or you can call me on +31 6 21857014 for more info. This can be in German as I understand it a bit.

cool - thanks for that. Dennis also said that the Malossi head actually makes it slower - not faster. a friend of mine will do some porting for me - so I'll foward him the link you gave. I know it wont be much faster but I like the bottom end grunt of this. I also like the power in the lower revs so this should hopefully help. I'm hoping that with some porting, a cosa clutch, the taffspeed (race?) crank, the malossi kit & the sito plus that it will make a bit of differance on the top end or at least make it easier to get to the top speeds with wind etc. thx for all your advice - keep it coming! John
-
Hey - I havent got it yet but I would order it from SCK so it I think it would be the new one. I'll run a normal length crank so I therefore take it that the head with the new kit will be fine (and therefore also as good as a malossi or an original p200 remachined head)- this seems to be what you recommend. I'd prefer that anyway really - I just find it hard to believe that Pinasco would make a kit where the head is rubbish.
-
thanks for your response - the english is 100% perfect so dont worry. When you say that I should try the original head - do you mean the original pinasco head that comes with the kit or the original p200 head? What set up do you have on the bike & what is your cruising & top speed? thx John
