  1. Yes, I’ve thought about that one. Or an old S&S Emo if I could find one.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks! No need for right hand exhaust! Just thought that to get noticable improvement from SIP Road, I had to go for a rap... But Thanks for the tip! -I’ll send Marco a mail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi, Last year I built a M244 engine With following spec: Pinasco casings Quattrini M244 crank Quattrini M244 kit Pinasco SI26 VRX EFL gearbox With 24/64 Static ignition on 19* (original Vespa) Sip Road 2.0 It went well, did 132km/h on the flat With the PAV41 behind.... -but I want more... What are my options for carburettor without reed, and better exhaust, preferably a right hand, as the engine is fitted in my SS180... -and preferably an exhaust that Works With mainstand... Thanks for help!
  4. Thanks bugix! From what I see, the only option is that I fitted a washer under the hub nut... Otherwise it was "by the book"... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hi, Just renovated the front of my 1987 PX200GS with new bearings and suspension. But when I put it all together, and tighten the hub nut, the hub locks. I'm not able to turn it... Any suggestions for what to look for?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Ok, just was I was afraid of... [emoji12] But at least my thoughts of adjusting the ignition was correct! [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi, Due to loong(?) gearing, 24/64, and Vespatronic on 24-17*, I'm running to high cht when cruising... So I've been advised to put the ignition to 22-15*... But as you can see on the picture, it is not possible to turn the ignition plate more clovkwise to achieve that... Do I need to modify the ignition plate, or am I thinking completely wrong?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Does that mean that I should set the ignition to 22-13??
  9. Pinasco Casing with this Casing it is very easy to get leak air ... did you control that? Yes, Checked and ok Quattrini M244 Cylinder kit squish? 1,37 Quattrini M244 crank Pinasco SI26/26 VRX, 2,69 in pilot, BE3, 150HD -> 1. forget the quotient!!! 2. HLKD? (maybe 150 or 140 will run better) 3. Use the MMW 4.2 Slide To be ordered and tested... 4. I can not believe that you need a HD150, but if it is so, you must drill out the channel to the nozzles stock to ~3mm! 5. Fuel tap? BGM Vespatronic With GP-One fan, 24-18' EFL Gearbox, 64/24 Sip Road 2.0 exhaust. (maybe a bigger stinger will fix your problem ...)
  10. Ok, thanks! I'll try a bigger pilot jet. But, even with the carb fully open, it gets hot on flat road. Approximately 25 degrees hotter than in the other gears with the carb fully open... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Ok, I just thought such a "big" engine would run easier on flat ground... I'm using the sensor for the SIP speedo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hi, Was on my first tour With my New-built M244-engine this weekend. Setup; Pinasco Casing Quattrini M244 Cylinder kit Quattrini M244 crank Pinasco SI26/26 VRX, 2,69 in pilot, BE3, 150HD Vespatronic With GP-One fan, 24-18' EFL Gearbox, 64/24 Sip Road 2.0 exhaust. Then engine runs great, very very litle or no vibrations and pulls very Nice. But when cruizing in 4th gir, the temperature on the cylinder head gets very high, 150-160 C. -just by cruising in 100 on flat road. No matter how hard I push it in first, second or Third gear, it will not get hotter than 140... Any suggestions to why it gets so hot in fourth gear? Rgrds Øyvind
  13. I've been told that a hose would reduse the induction noise... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hi, I just fitted my M244 engine in my SS180. The plan is to use the original air-connection on the frame to the SI26/26 carb -when I get a suitable hose... But will this provide sufficient air, or restrict the engine? Now I have the foam filter.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hi, Sorry for yet another question about M244 setup. -moderator can delete if wanted.. Anyway, I get my Pinasco VXR 26 early next week, so I can complete my engine build... Setup: Pinasco casings (minor porting to cylinder and inlet) M244 crank M244 cylinder Sip Road 2.0 Vespatronic (1700g) 24-17' 24/64 gearing Pinsco VXR 26/26 So I was wondering if any could give me some help on the jets for the carburettor, so I can be on the safe side? Thanks! Ø
  16. Hi, Changed both the steel plates and the corck plates, and used softer springs.... Now the clutch is Perfect! Attended dragrace, and did 15 races With burnouts in front, and no slipping clutch. And it disengage perfectly. Very good clutch!
  17. Was about to mount the VXR26/26 carb on my M244 engine yesterday. Luckily I checked the size first; Any thoughts? PS! I read german, But not good enough to write... Rgrds Øyvind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Hmm, the noise/sound from the engine is ok for a while, but not for long distance riding... Sounds like the hose is going back on... Thanks for advice! [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. OK, I'm leaning more towards a setup similar to the Polini venturi kit, but just buy a filter, as the Pinasco comes with a funnel... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hi, I'm currently building a M244-engine for my SS180. I'm using a Pinasco VXR26/26 carb With the funnel and was wondering what airfilter to use. As it is to be fit in a SS180 frame, I'm not using a hose Connected to the frame. Any suggestions what airfilter to put on the carburettor Box? Rgrds Øyvind
  21. OK, I'll go for that then. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hi! I'm about to assemble my Quattrini M244 engine, and wonder how many Nm's to use on the bolts for the casings? Thanks for help! Rgrds Øyvind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks Fred, Hopefully it is going to work as it should now for a while... -it is my daily commuter... Not I just have to sort out the rev counter, as there is a dodgy contact somewhere making the needle dancing around...
  24. Hi, The needle on my rev Counter on my PX200GS (T5 frame With PX200 engine) is jumping around... The rev Counter was tested on another scoot than mine, and worked perfectly. So apperantly I don't have a "clean" signal for the rev Counter. -but where does it pick up the signal from? Rgrds Øyvind
  25. Thanks Fred! Got it sorted. -it was the rectifyer that was the problem. New rectifyer and the starter works nice and the fuse doesn't blow! [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
