Hi, My 1988 PX200GS keeps on blowing the fuse from the electric starting relay. Even a 10A it blows. And with the ignition off, the new fuse blows intantly when inserted in the fuse holder... Any suggestions on what can be wrong? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi, I just renovated my 1988 PX200-engine... -New bearings, seals and gaskets. I now have a oilleakage from the SI carburettor. There are of course New gaskets between carb and carbbox and between carbbox and casings. It leaks two stroke oil from somewhere underneath the carbbox (no two stroke oil inside the carbbox) -and yes, I've changed the gasket 3 times... Any suggestion on where the leakage can be? Elestart flywheel rubbing on Polini208 cylinder
Svint1 antwortete auf Svint1's Thema in Vespa PX, T5, Cosa etc.
Sounds like a good sollution, except that I don't have a lathe... That's why I'm going for the Dremel sollution. -just a bit afraid of taking too much and going through the metal... -
Elestart flywheel rubbing on Polini208 cylinder
Svint1 antwortete auf Svint1's Thema in Vespa PX, T5, Cosa etc.
Hi Tobi, He he, the elestart is not needed -but highly preferred... Was jus wondering if there is a risk of going through to the ports if I use the Dremel to remove a mm or two...? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hi, I've fitted a Polini208 on my PX200GS With elestart... I've removed some material on the sylinder, as the flywheel rubs on it... But I haven't removed enough, as it still rubs a little. -how much can I remove without going through the cylinder? I Guess the Polini208 should work With elestart flywheel? Rgrds Øyvind

Thanks for the replies gents, I'll have to take the clutch out again and check... But it will take some time, as I'm currently rebuilding my PX200-engine, but the Quattrini engine is NeXT in line... -I'll keep you updated! -

Yes, That's my thought as well... But trying new cork plates and new steel plates with softer springs to see if it helps... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Hi all and thanks for replies! I've used a 0,5mm shim on the christmastree, and I've used the repkit With countersunk screws. I checked the clutch when fitting it, and nothing rubs... It is a KE Performance Series 6 clutch With Cosa plates. -
Temp cencor on Quattrini M244 Cylinder head
Svint1 antwortete auf Svint1's Thema in Vespa PX, T5, Cosa etc.
Ok, Thanks. My concern was more about if there is sufficient Space for the temp censor on the head, when fitted to the sparkplug as normal. But I'll do as With "normal" cylinderheads and fit it on the sparkplug. -
Hi, I've got at KE Performance clutch in my Quattrini M1L60 engine... Fitted With 10 springs and original Cosa clutch plates. But the clutch doesn't disengage properly. -any suggestion of fault? Rgrds Ø

Hi, Have anybody fitted a temp sensor (for SIP speedo) on their Quattrini M232/244 cyilinder head? I can't figure out how to fit it on mine... Rgrds

Hi again Tim, I've tried to setup the speedo with one pulse pr rev, but then ended up with an idle around 8-9k... -so obviously something wrong somewhere. What cable from the ignitionplate should the brown signal cable for the speedo be attached to? Rgrds Øyvind
-
Hi Tim! Thanks for quick reply! :) I take the signal from one of the cables to the rectifier...

Hi all! I´m trying to get my SIP speedo to work properly, but it shows too high revs... (idling around 4000) I have a MVT ignition, and I´m wondering how many ignition pulses/signals it does pr rev? Anyone that can tell me? Rgrds Øyvind

Hi Lars, Not sure of the fans. -need to be checked... But I haven't done the figueres, but the xenon light takes a fair bit as well. But normal runing I just use the water pump, the led lights in front, diode in the back, Stage6 EGT and SIP speedo. And that is obviously too much. I'm suspecting a bad battery, so I'll try a new one....
-
Henkan, I'm seriously struggling to get enough power to run waterpump and fans. -after a while there isn't enough and the pump struggle to keep the flow... So for a start I've fitted led-lights to minimize the power consumption...

Rev counter for Vespa SS180 12V
Svint1 antwortete auf Svint1's Thema in Vespa Rally, Sprint, VNA, VNB, VBB, V125, etc.
Hi, I'm not sure if I'll go for the "retro" design... -I fancy the classic with white more actually... -clean and simple design. I'll keep you all updated on the progress. Regarding OT; yes, I hope to be able to attend CSR2015 on Dagali in August, but it depends on the holidays with my family... Are you attending T5Rainer? -

Svint1 antwortete auf Svint1's Thema in Vespa Rally, Sprint, VNA, VNB, VBB, V125, etc.
Hi all! -and thanks for the tips! They´re all good, but I think I like the tip from Gravedigger best... I´ve sent them a mail, and asked if they have an option for temperature gauge as well, as I need that too... We´ll see! Regards Øyvind -
Rev counter for Vespa SS180 12V
Svint1 erstellte Thema in Vespa Rally, Sprint, VNA, VNB, VBB, V125, etc.
Hi all! I've fitted a 220 Polossi engine in my 1965 Vespa SS180 and made it a real long distance cruiser. But I would like to have some more control of the engine, so would like to fit a rev counter and a temperature gauge in the top of my glove-box. -I don't fancy a SIP speedo, so that is not an option. I would like to keep the old, analogue look... Any tips on what to buy where? Thanks! Øyvind -
PXKL2 Clutch on V50 casings
Svint1 antwortete auf Svint1's Thema in Vespa V50, Primavera, ET3, PK, ETS etc.
Thanks amazombi! The only thing is that the engine is recently rebuilt/refurbished, and I was hoping not to have to split the casings or do any major work on it... Is there somehow I can check if it fit without splitting the casings? -
Hi all! Sorry for writing in English, but my "deutch sind sehr slecht..." :) Anyway, I have bought a old smallframe engine, apperantly built by someone on this forum -and I´m mainly a largeframe man, so I need some advise... The setup is; V50 casings welded to suit the cylinder Mk1 Malossi with direct intake Malossi intake and reed PHBL25 carburettor Zirri Silent exhaust 12V ignition. I have a complete PKXL2 clutch on the shelf, and thought I might fit that to the engine. -will that be plug´n play, or do I need to modify anything? Thanks for help! Best Regards Øyvind
