Polini 130 Grauguss - was kann er wirklich?
KTy antwortete auf Patricks's Thema in Vespa V50, Primavera, ET3, PK, ETS etc.
Please make a difference between 51 and 54mm stroke ! -
Not yet... Give us more time to test it... There is not point in rushing and having the thing braking in a couple of weeks But see you at the Run'n Race anyway
-
http://www.michel-lemarie.fr/galeriereportage.html Dude, we are in 2009, look more carefully !! Direct for you: http://www.michel-lemarie.fr/Flash%2009%20...%20am/index.htm and: http://www.michel-lemarie.fr/Flash%2009%20...20pil/index.htm

I could not dyno it in Mirecourt; no time with the organization Anyway, as I have some problem with the Varitronic, I decided that I will drive at the Run'n Race wih my vCDI module... This is going to be extreme real case testing :-D

Michel Lemarié's pictures are online ! http://www.michel-lemarie.fr/galeriereportage.html

Please send PM if interested. I'll be at the Run and Race too...

All timing from all class can be found in the following Excel workbook: http://scootentole.org/CS/CS09Mirecourt/CS...t.Resultats.xls So, as Luccio mentioned, all pictures and links can be seen in the above post (need registration on our forum). I copy-paste links below, but many pictures are on the post: C1: http://picasaweb.google.com/lecram.effuahc...IRECOURT2009C1# C2: http://picasaweb.google.com/lecram.effuahc...IRECOURT2009C2# C3: http://picasaweb.google.com/lecram.effuahc...IRECOURT2009C3# C4: http://picasaweb.google.com/lecram.effuahc...IRECOURT2009C4# http://picasaweb.google.fr/70scooterpieces...feat=directlink http://picasaweb.google.fr/lecram.effuahc....sPodiumPilotes# http://picasaweb.google.fr/70scooterpieces/Mirecourt2# http://picasaweb.google.fr/GermyTC/Mirecou...CL2p6eii1_ajCA# And we are also waiting impatiently pictures from Michel Lemarié... Check regularly, should be on line in a couple of days... http://www.michel-lemarie.fr/galeriereportage.html

Servas ! Hot news ! On Friday, the track wont even be shared with the kart and supermoto ! The track is ours !!! (28€ full day, 18€ half-day; you will pay over there directly) And here the planning that we are going to try to follow :) (French) http://scootentole.org/CS/CS09Mirecourt/Pl...09Mirecourt.pdf

300km for me... Damn it ! I would have come if it was not this WE... See signature ;)

Only if it uses the same DUCATI-like CDI coil, yes. From what I know, All Vespa with electronic ignition (T5, PX, PK, ET3, etc) Lambretta using AF electronic ignition Probably some other italian scooters

Some update and good news, After some lenghty testing, to insure reliability, I will start selling these thingy after Mirecourt (I will actually bring some with me over there). So far, feedbacks from testers are usually; * Easier start of the engine in all conditions (cold/hot) * Engine runs a bit more "round" over the whole RPM range * Overall, of course it is not like upgrading your cylinder, but it is a slight improvement, especially noticeable at low RPM. 25€, shipping included (Europe :) )

Supa ! Precision: Pay before if you can, if you have sent the form to us before, you can pay on the spot the reduced registration fees...
-
@Dave, you HAVE to get this "ärztliche attest" !!! This year it is different, it is a legal issue (insurance). It should take 10 mins to get one, please do it if you want to ride in C2, C3 or C4 class (not needed for C1). Sorry for that, but once again, it is a LEGAL issue. As for the weather, right now it is supposed to be very nice; keep fingers crossed !! EXTENDED registration deadline; You can send via email your form before May 20th !! Once you sent the registration form, you can pay via Bank transfer, Paypal or on the spot. If you REGISTER on the spot it will be a bit more expensive (13/55/65€ instead of 10/45/55€).

It's always easy to win the race against the French

I just went to a doctor this morning, discussed 5 mins, he took my pressure and finally delivered me my "ärztliches Attest" Doable ! Nice weather forecasted so far !

Don't forget Mirevcourt 2009 as a good ESC training before the Run and Race season starter !! http://www.germanscooterforum.de/Rennen_f3...ay_t147875.html Send your registration forms ASAP to benefit from the discounted price :) As usual, there will be good fun on the track, nice atmosphere in the paddock, possibility to buy some parts from professionals, a dynorun, BBQs, beers, a small party on Saturday evening and lots of stuff to win... :D
-
To make it clearer, It's an insurance issue; this year all drivers are fully (civil + physically !) insured on Saturday, with no ambiguity or legal gap. We preferred to go this way, the medical certificate being the only drawback.

Right, Usually doctor do not even do a full check up if they know you, they just write the paper

Guys I understand that ! I was just wondering what is the "exact real" timing advance curve when you mount the stator ACCORDING to the "official" instructions. I am working on this Sorry for making things confusing !
-
Hi T5Rainer, thanks for the info; But I can see that your figures are not exactly the same as the curve ! At 3500rpm, curve says 23°, and 15° at 8000rpm; That's 2° difference compared to your measurements ! I have some doubt because I do not really expect, for instance, a 225cc longstroke largeframe engine and a 125cc M1L Quattrini to have the same ignition timings... I think the varitronic manual tells you to set the ignition this way or this way and it actually shifts the curve according to the engine type. I agree that with +/-5° every curve should be the same, basically, same shape; but in your case 2° difference at 8000rpm is really a lot ! Thanks again, your inputs are useful !
-
It's a PIC uC, nothing special. Of course, you have to experiment and do as much as you can to prevent any kind of perturbation from the ignition. The hardware seem pretty stable now; testing should accelerate soon; I will have access to a dyno in Mirecourt in 2 weeks, I hope I can extract some information out of it.
-
Did anyone actually measured the ignition timing after fitting a vari/vespatronic on a Lami/PX/Smallframe ?? Basically my question is; Once fitted according to insctructions, is the ignition timing (top curve) the following for all scooters ?! Cannot be true... http://www.lambretta.it/special_parts/vespatronic01.pdf
-
Well, a microcontroller is not supposed to reset whenever he wants; if it does, then you have some problems indeed ;)
-
Souvenir Souvenir ! :) Practice on Friday in 2008...
-
Well actually, I have still some prototyping going on... I put on hold the version that doesn't need the stator to be changed because the results are not 100% perfect; it works fine except at low RPM, so that's a problem. The one I have now is like any other variable ignition timing; you have to change the stator advance. But the other features of "my vCDI" remain the same: USB, drag'n drop of curves or firmware-update, no need for battery, etc. I am currently test-driving with the Varitronic curve. Of course, as usual, I am doing some more reliability testing, I will bring one or two modules to Mirecourt !
