  1. Please note that, even if this is an official ESC training, categories are a little bit different. Their reduce number will allow more track time, and we believe that it is what really matters for you guys As a reminder, here are the very probable categories that we will have: C1 : Any scooter, tourist riding (track discovery), take it easy C2 : Any scooter with STOCK CYLINDER and any tuned smallframe < 120cc C3 : Tuned Smallframe >120cc C4 : Tuned Scooter >150cc See you there,
  2. There are two versions of this pipe: The first one, that I own, has a smaller volume than the latest one (Luccio own one of these) more adapted to the M1L and M1LR.
  3. 1) For insurance reasons, each driver needs to be registered ! So it is not really interesting for you and your friend to drive only one scooter, but you can do it ! You can also share the scooter ! 2) On Friday and Sunday, every registered driver will have the possibility to drive on the track (even with an automatic scooter) for a small extra fee. 3) No cancellation possible, but you can also registered yourself the D-day on the track (50? per pilot instead of 42?) I hope to see you there anyway ;)
  4. We already have received some registration from Germany... I can tell that some are missing
  5. Waiting for your registration form guys ! Once registered, you'll be able to register on the ESC website in about 3 weeks. Looking forward to seeing some of you
  6. Finally ! Here are the pre-registration forms ! Price is 42€ PER PILOTE, 8€ for 3 days visitor. Food would be available on the track site, read inside the registration form. It will be possible to register on the spot, depending on the number of available places and at a slightly higher price (50€/10€). Please ask any questions here in this post ! 7. A small comment on the categories: We will be flexible; If someone is running a 188.8cc tuned V5A, he will (should !) be able to race in C3, kein problem !
  8. C1 is "relax", other class are more "race-like". But the level wont be too high, don't worry ! There is grass, showers, ... camping facilities ! Yes, it is coming very soon. First you will register via email/postal letter, then you will also confirm your registration on the ESC website. You will also be able to register at the last minute on Friday or Saturday, it will be slightly more expensive. We will translate our reglement, and there will be a "safety" inspection of all scooter, as usual. If you want, for a little extra money (15? for half-day, 25? for a full-day, multiples 10-15minutes sessions in alternance with kart and supermoto), you will be able to also drive on Friday and Sunday ! Kein problem ! There will be some other German people, and so of us can speak a little bit German too ... so
  9. Hi guys, Here are probably the different categories that we will have, It seems to us quite balanced and it will also help to maximize track time ! Please comment ;)
  10. Same question in English ?! What are these washers/spacers ?!
  11. Both ways should work, However, engine -> AddonV -> "Spark magnifier" -> CDI will be a "transparent" wiring connection for the AddonV.
  12. I guess there shouldn't be any problem using the AddonV and the "Spark Magnifier". @Don: There are almost no chance that the standard stator could destroy the internal capacitor by overvoltage. So, using the "spark magnifier", there is no need for a voltage limitation. If you really want to protect it, what you propose seems correct. Maybe a 400VDC zener diode(s) would be enough, no need for a transistor... However, I assume that you increase the cap from 1uF to 2uF in order to "supply" the additional circuitry, this could lead to a problem of undervoltage (the cap being too large, the voltage doesn't rise fast enough, and after 3 cycles, the final voltage will be maybe lower than without "spark magnifier"). Someone has to try :) Another point, has already mentioned, the Energy of the spark is related to E= 1/2.C.V² . As you cannot change the internal cap (well, I guess one can but...), the goal is to increase its voltage. And that's even better as it is V² ! That is what the "spark magnifier" is doing by theoretically doubling the voltage, thus theoretically quadrupling the energy... Practically, the engine will start better and run better at low-to-mid RPM. At high-RPM, it should also behave a bit better or similar (worst-case) !
  13. Hum... I tend to agree but ONLY if you can find a very good way to isolate the stator ground ! And that is quite difficult ! In that case a diode-bridge is a good idea; you will reach the maximum voltage faster, so it is true that it will be better for high-revs. However, the drawback is that you wont be able to increase the voltage of the internal capacitor like the voltage doubler does ! So many things to try :)
  14. It will probably work if you put a diode-bridge before the CDI unit, but it will not increase the voltage. You need another diode and a condenser in order to double the voltage. However, if you do so, you may go too high and destroy the internal condenser (rated 400VDC or 250VAC). You can try :) Another important comment: On your schematic, do not forget that the stator is also grounded, so basically, one of the four diodes is short-circuit; in the end, it is a simple alternance rectifier ! C0, D0 are to be added and C0, D0, C1 and D2 make a voltage doubler.
  15. Sorry, I was away for vacations ;) Some unofficial updates ! *We will sleep on the circuit, close to the paddock, camping facilities. There is also a "park fermé" that we may use. * The Challenge itself (training and race) will be held only on Saturday. However, if you pay some extra-fees you will have access to the track also on Friday and Sunday. * The price is not yet defined exactly, it will be around 50€ for 2 nights, 2 breakfasts, training and race on Saturday all day long, and a small party on Saturday (with scooterist prices) ;) We will also organize lunch for those who wants on Saturday noon and diner (extra money). * We will have some nice prizes to give away !! Registration is coming as soon as possible !!! ;)
  16. Shifted by one week !
