  1. Well I still don't get it I'll wait for your pics ! Cheers ;)
  2. Hey Paola, I do have a tuning book, bell's one, nice one by the way :) What's wrong with the direction of the *entrance* of my transfers ? Don't you mean the *output* of transfers, the ports ? :plemplem:
  3. ( @px200hh: What I asked was the "original" value, not the best value I should be looking for ! Thanks anyway So I have a value from amazombi...Thanks ! My Polini is already turned by 3mm and I have a 5mm alu spacer ---> 5 - 3 = 2mm :) So, naturally, the first thing to do would be to remove 2mm at the top to have the same compression ration and squish value with the Polini head. But, since I will probably give a try to a Malossi head, I was wondering how much exactly I should remove to my Polini top... According to amazombi's squish value (1.2mm) and if I want a 1.3mm squish, I should then only remove 1.9mm at the top of my Polini cylinder. I guess I should first get the cylinder head, then work on the cylinder, right ? :wasntme:
  4. Alloha ! Quite simple: Does anybody know what is the squish value when you put a Malossi head over a normal Polini 133 cylinder ? (I don't know if you have to take into account the O-ring...?!) Thanks ! KTy
  5. I don't have any excuse for the piston... But if you have any tips to work correctly the ports, it will help, it's hard to get there and do it cleanly ! Do you use any special-secret tools to work perpendicular to the cylinder ?? As I must remind you, I am a newbie in mecanics, and I don't ahve probably all the needed tools... :wasntme: Thanks again KTy -
  6. You're always right BBG ! What actually surprise me is how I am stupid to "forget" about such elementary safety things.... I pissed myself off !! I hope I have learn my lesson, but I fear that I have some more to learn about other subjects...
  7. I know, but for my first "tuning" project I prefer to work on a used cylinder... Do you think it is possible to rebored it one more time to 58mm so that I can fit the GS piston or... ? Yep I know, I was discussing this with Olli ETS not too long ago... So, in the end, from what you can see :), there are not much evidences of overheating , running too lean, tendency to seize or even knocking ? Thanks !
  8. I was told the ipone I use is the same oil as Motul :plemplem: Yes I did enlarge it a bit... Dirt from the exhaust ? Damn'Italians... Really ? Well I guess you obtain pretty good result :) So, I'm more and more convinced about the dirt coming from the exhaust or from the exhaust transfer as this is the part of the piston that is the more "damaged" (See top of the piston http://ktylife.free.fr/vespa/KTy133/Debug/DSCN1993.JPG and http://ktylife.free.fr/vespa/KTy133/Debug/DSCN2007.JPG). I am also concerned about the scratch ( http://ktylife.free.fr/vespa/KTy133/Debug/DSCN2006.JPG ) that you can see (but you can't feel them !) around the piston... Could this also be due to dirt or does it reveal a tendency to seize or could it be normal :wasntme: ? KTy - (
  9. I also post on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vespasmallframes Here is a copy, ( thanks you too for your comments !
  10. Yeah... welcome on the GSF, please, speak freely in English , let's invade and colonize it ! Errrr... Okay Hum, beautiful work ! From the picture, it seems PM Tuning will have a hard time to fit the exhaust under the frame, it looks challenging ... !
  11. Okay, right... But I was talking about theoretical data... But it's better than nothing :)
  12. I'll rebuild my engine in a couple of months and I thought it would be nice to adapt admission and exhaust diagrams to the Hammerzombi (hopefully) soon to be sell ! So question is: Are data available ? (Peak power RPM,...) Thanks, KTy -
  13. Yeah, red parts make you go faster
  14. It was just to make things clear... I'm used to dell'orto ones and I may have missed something :) Anyway, if I make you laugh, it makes my day ;) Thanks :) KTy -
  15. By the way, newbie question, what are the functions of those two "tubes" ? Is there a better way to setup them ? Thanks !
  16. Finally it's here ! I'll let you know how things are going when I built a new reed cage... KTy -
  17. Money from my account was transfered on Monday !
  18. Oh, btw , I forgot to put my nickname on the money transfer... :wasntme: So, you got my name, I ordered 3x primary and it comes from France, that's it !
  19. Money order on its way ! Should be done monday or tuesday hopefully ! KTy -
  20. What is the dead-line for money transfer ?
  21. Ah ok... But of course, the electronic ignition part is the same; i.e, one coil supply HV to a condenser... I was confused, I thought I had missed something ! Thanks,
  22. Sorry but can you point me out these topics ? I don't get what is the difference between an ET3 electronic ignition and a PX one... ?! Thanks KTy - :wasntme:
  23. Has anyone already measure the Fabrizi FHT exhaust ? It "looks" like my zirri silent... KTy - :wasntme:
  24. Yes, usually putting a spacer on a reed-valve favourite low and middle torque.
