Worb 5 double clutch spring.

Empfohlene Beiträge

A member of my forum is experiancing clutch slip with his Parmakit motor and is looking into suitable ways of reducing or hopefully eliminating it.At the moment he's running with a Malossi spring (I'm not sure which one) and it isn't upto the job at all.

We were wondering if anyone had experiance with the Worb 5 item and if it is usable with a cable operation or if it just suitable for a hydralic application?

All help and sugguestions of alternative set-up are appreciated.

Thank you.

hi dave

the worb 5 spring looks like the "oldschool" double clutch spring from polini in the early 90´s

i had this spring in my 133 Polini engine for a little time and it worked very well ,but the problem with the spring ist the fixing between the two springs ,with can burst open

i think a pk xl2 clutch with 4 discs should do it. i dont know if there was a XL2 in GB (ore were ever you come from) but it is surely one of the most reliable and easy to get cluthes. You can look after it at the prominent german scooter shops like Sip Scootershop or Worb 5.

And also there is a quite new clutch produced by Zandra, but here i cant say anything but that it excists.

Thanks so far Gentlemen.

I had considered the joining of the spring may have been a weak point.Yes we're in the UK and we did get the XL2 although the PK range was never hugely popular over here.

Does anyone have recommendations for other alternative clutchs, for example the Seirgioni Super clutch?I'm sorry about these questions but we're unfamiliar with the new high tune parts that have appeared on the market on the last year or two.

Thank you again.

trash the whole Polini unit, then get new primary gears with steel basket. after that, any 4 plate clutch, preferably xl2 with 6 springs, should do pretty well for a long time. always use gear oil designed for wet clutches.

a quick and dirty option would be to run the 4 discs polini plates, but they seem to be hard to find. going to 3,5 plates by removing the cork on one side of an older disc to get more pressure on the spring might help a litte, too. the double spring pictured is not as hard as a malossi one, but using the inner spring of the double spring package in combination with the malossi spring should help a litte, too.
