Sip Evo on a T4

Empfohlene Beiträge

Hi all and Merry Christmas!!!

I'm about to rebuild my "Bastard 208", and one of the topics are new seat...

Due to my widening of the cowls, I would like to fit a Sip Evo-seat.

I therefore wonder if anyone else has fitted a Sip Evo-seat on a T4???

And does someone have a picture of a Sip Evo-seat fitted on a T4?

Thanks!

hello!

it is possible to fit one. it is necessary to have a quiet hard rear shock to prevent the silencer touching the side panel from the bottom side. ground clearance is not an issue, so maybe also a slightly lowered exhaust is helpful in this regard.

He wants to have the seat not the exhaust. Or am i wrong?

Hi!

It is no problem to fit a SIP seat on your scooter.

Just note that you need a seat for Rally/Sprint, not PX, as the later is squared at the rear end, and won´t fit the frame nicely.

My advice to you is to buy a 2nd hand seat on ebay or here at the forum, or buy a new one at SIP. Fitting it is not a problem at all. You may contact me directly for fitting advice as soon as you have bought a seat.

sorry, my fault. i should read read more in detail before posting :-D

nevertheless, it is also possible to fit this carbon or fibreglass seat. maybe not the first choice for a long ride, but looks nice. i recommend, not to buy the seat cover from sip, since its quite less quality. better to contact a local manufacturer.

don´t fit that seat on yout scooter. It will look really stupid!

A really fine classic scooter like yours, should get such a modern seat.

And there is a second reson, you will loose comfort.

so, please think about that idea.

He he, thanks for your comment MaRi!

But fitting a Sip Evo seat is something I've been thinking of for a long time, and I'll go for it!

First of all, the scooter is named "Bastard" due to all the different parts...

PX-engine

PK-fork

Grimeca Disk

B-race Exhaust

Sigma computer

and so on...

And this winter I'm rebuilding it with a 220ccm Mallossi-engine, and I'm not comfortable with the old seat then.

The old seat puts me to close to the stearing.

A Sip Evo seat will make me able to seat longer back on the scooter, and then have a better position on the scoot...

The cowls are widened and "clean", so I think the scoot would look great with a Sip Evo.

If not, I just sell the seat!
