4th Endurance Scootentole - MagnyCours-Club - 27th of September, 2015

Scootentole presents the 4th Endurance Challenge Scootentole: The 10 hours of MagnyCours (Club track) !!
 

 

 

Back again in Magny-Cours in 2015, but this time on a slightly bigger track for a new exciting edition of classic scooter Endurance race in France !

The race time duration will be 10h, the reglements is simple and very open; Strategy and reliability are the two keys of this new edition.
The number of scooter to take part of this Endurance race is now extended to 50  ; Anyway, make sure you book a slot as soon as possible !

The track configuration will be the most twisty one ! Pay attention that this is quite a long and fast track ! 2,6 km long and 10m of wide
 

Race format: No ranking classes, scratch ranking for all teams !   

 

 

Rules, the main points:  (IF ANY QUESTION, PLEASE ASK !!)
Short summary: (Please read carefully the FULL reglement, see below)

• Single class !
• No cut frame, no skeleton -> Full frame scooter, including headset, panels and mudguard
• If you have a tube to strengthen your chassis, you must cover the hole between chassis and the tube
• No engine limitation, EXCEPT
  • Fuel tank MUST be of original type, size, capacity and placed at its original location - NO modification allowed to fuel tank
  • Tank CANNOT be changed during re-fueling, only jerrycan
• Max 10 inch wheels (other vintage scooters, please contact us)
• No 4 stroke, no automatic (vintage 4 Stroke, please contact us)
• All tires type allowed
• Rear/front lights supplied by STATOR (not only from battery)
• Teams of 3 to 5 pilots + team manager + mechanics; max 7 persons in the pit-stand !!
• Pilot relay one hour maximum

Booking fees:

• 120 euro per driver (min.3, max. 5)
• 10 euro per visitors (everybody else except drivers)

This rate includes practice and race, transponder rental (lap timing), drivers insurances, lottery ticket for each driver, bivouac/camping on the campsite…

You have to provide :

• Name of the team
• Names of each driver (3 to 5)
• Name of team manager and other members
• Two e-mail contacts
• Two mobile phone numbers
• Type of scooter with real displacement of the engine, main modifications, type of exhaust… Details and pictures if possible !
• Driving-licence soft-copies (Send scans and bring to the track)
• Medical certificate of each driver soft-copies (must be less than 1 year old, Send scans and Bring to the track). DMV insurance does NOT work as this is NOT an ESC race.
• Transfer the money for each driver (120EUR) and other team-members (10EUR). Additional driver and visitor can be added on the spot. Driver not present will be refund after the event (if organization informed before 13th of September)

Important

• The team registration will be validated ONLY when the booking fees have been transferred
• You can unsubscribe (team member or complete team) before the 13th of September 2014. After this date, we will not refund you ! Please give us 2 weeks after the event to process your refund.
• There will a waiting list if we exceed the 50 scooters. Please give us 2 weeks after the event to process your refund
• The start number will be assigned to you.

Other notes:

• On saturday, you can also train on the kart track (smaller track) in alternance with kartings from 15:30 to 17:00, 20euro to be paid to the circuit.
• There will be a van to pick you up when you are left on the side of the track.

12h30 - 17h00 : Administrative registrations, technical inspection**** !

17h00 - 18h00: Mandatory briefing for Team Managers

18h00 – 20h00 : Practice and qualifications (lights ON).

Sunday 27th of September

7h30 : Briefing pilots
8h15 – 8h45 : warm-up
9h00 : Start
19h00 : Finish

19h30 : Podium + Tombola (lucky draw) + Apero !  

 

 

****: Given that the timing will be tight on Saturday night, the organizers will make all necessary registration and controls at the same time; administrative / technical scooter / drivers outfit/ etc. This means that each team, as a whole, must go through the different controls, at the same time.

Nevers Magny-Cours Technopole is located in Nièvre department (Bourgogne) 200 km in the south of Paris (2 hours by highway).

Unser dritter Fahrer hat - frisch aus der Elternzeit - zu 90% zugesagt .

 

Leider kann unser schnellster Fahrer aus beruflichen Gründen nicht und der Chefmechaniker muss bei den Schwiegereltern zur Goldenen Hochzeit antreten.

 

Aber dank unser französischen Zündapp Freunde werden wir Boxen- und Verpflegungssupport bekommen  

 

So kann die "Scramblenette" technisch unverändert zum dritten Mal an den Start gehen. Wir werden ihr nur frisches Getrieböl, eine neue Kerze und eine fabrikneue DID HD Kette spendieren.

 

Ziel für die Scuderia Heini bleibt wie immer: Spaß haben, die Zielflagge sehen und möglichst nicht Letzter werden.

Agenda:

• Technical Control and registration on Saturday from 10AM to 2PM

• Free practice on Saturday from 1PM to 4PM

• Qualification on Saturday from 4PM to 5PM

• Race starting on Sunday 9AM, finishes at 7PM.

Practice is on the same track? I remember that some years ago you only could practice on the cart track.

Und vorher riss 2x der Auspuff
