Hi! I'm looking for a complete VS5M engine. Ideally VD1M for my VD1TS but I had no luck finding it so VS5M is also good. Also any parts for VD1TS are welcome. Here is my Vespa in o-lack. Currently in Europe (Czechia).

Hi! The GS2 engine prefix should be VDS1M. That motor is more or less similar with VS1. VD1M is the 150 T2 "Touring" engine with 3 speed / 3 cylinder bolts.

But any GS150 motor will fit and probably the easiest to get is a Vespa Augsburg GS3 motor (VDS2M).

If you buy a "late" GS motor with PX style break drums, you need a couple of extra parts: The early type motor mount, the wheel flange and the brake drums for the closed "star" rims.

The GS2 stator plate is the same as used in the VS1 and T2 btw, it works without battery.

Thank you for the information! I'm thinking about getting a VS5M engine and restamping it. What do you think about it? Is there any major visual differences compared to VDS1M?

From outside there is almost no difference. GS2 has an aluminum cylinder cover instead of steel and a flywheel cover without the centre hole (both like the VS1).
