I'm going to build (and to have welded) a new manifold for my racer.

I have already TZR 125 reed valve, it's nice but just a little too big (height).

And I want to do it *properly*... ;)

I'd like to have a look at the vForce(2) reedvalve block, but I can't find any physical dimension over the web !

Besides the dimension, what would you recommend for reed-block size for my Polini 133: KX-80 / CR-85 or CR-125 ? Are they similar ?

Sallih seems to prepare her engine with a reedblock that looks like a CR125 vForce... Can I have its dimensions ? :)

Thank you for your help and advices :)

the CR 85 has a 30mm carb.

the CR 125 has one with 38mm ...

I still feel sad, that we can't get the folks together to have a nice gearbox made :uargh:

So, again many people looking for a good deal on the Zirri one -

great. :uargh:

Blaster=RD=TZR within a few mm. Blaster vforce 2 is 52,5mm wide (in your case, high)

CR125 is about 60mm

Anything XX65-85 is smaller than Blaster, more Malossi-like

Tassinari has four different sizes which make sens using on a vespa, Mito-Likes (about 65mm), CR125-likes (bout 60), RD-Likes (52,5) and 80cc-likes. They only come with different stud holes to suit different manufacturers bore patterns.

Thanks for the carb size... Still looking for the reedblock size of the CR85 then :)

EDIT: Thanks Gerhard ;)

A friend of mine told me CR85/KX80 could be fitted on some 50cc derbi gearboxed bikes...

As for the Zirri short, yeah, it's sad... the problem is that not *that* much people want to spend 200euros for a short 4th... We'll see...

Sometimes I'm asking basic tuning stuff that I can't even answer myself... :D

For example, why would you want to have a bigger (wider) reedblock size ?

My only thought is that, for the same engine configuration (displacement and carburator), if you plug a wider reedblock, then the reed petals will bend less (for the same quantity of gazflow) compared to a smaller reedblock. Thus increasing maximum RPM because of higher resonance frequency...

Is this correct ? :-D

So, for my new reedblock hybridation, should I go for a CR125 / TZR125 one, or should I consider smaller stuff like RD350 ones or even CR85 ones ?

Discuss if you feel that's interesting ! :-D

Cheers,

Back on this old topic...

Actually, this time I just want to know if there are major performance improvements between VF2 and VF3 ?

Put in another way, is it worth getting the VF3, always a little bit more expensive than VF2... ?

Thanks,

KTy - :-D
